    This is one of the best first dramas to watch as an introduction to the Korean way of life and the magic of KDramas. Witty, sometimes very funny, always very intelligent and original with fascinating and unusual characters.

    Another best first KDrama to watch, Romance is a bonus book follows the story of a homeless middle aged woman abandoned by her husband and her struggles to find work and a new life. Almost a Fairy Story!

    In my top 5, this is a magical saga about a 1,000 year old lady fated to run the Hotel del Luna - a hotel for dead people who have unfinished business on Earth - and her young Harvard educated apprentice. Staring 'I.U' who is Korea's number one solo singer and who gives an extraordinary performance of power and confidence for one so young.

Mad for Each Other

    Not in my Top 40 but the first episode is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Two people seeing the same psychiatrist and who happen to be neighbours bump into each other and a chaos of misunderstanding happens.

   "He was following me in front." If he was following you, shouldn't he be behind? "You're right. I wonder how he knew where I was going?"

Beauty Inside

     Clever and touching story about a famous actress who turns into another body (of any age or sex) for a week every month. She meets a rich businessman who suffered brain damage and cannot recognise faces...

  "Aren't you tired of doing that? No - do you open your eyes every morning? Aren't you tired of doing that?"

Dr John

    An exploration of pian, death and the morality of euthanasia set around a genius doctor imprisioned for a mercy killing. Features a man who can't feel pain and a man who feels agonising pain 'when the wind blows'. Of course, a romance is thrown in for good measure. Set first in the prison and then in the 'Pain Management Centre' of a major hospital where our hero works after being released from prison and is pursued by a relentless prosecutor who wants him locked up for longer...

Private Lives

    Slick drama about a family of con men who get in too deep. Amusingly, they call their cons 'making a documentary' and see themselves as actors in the documentary. Develops surprisingly well and we meet new producers of documentaries all out to con each other as it all leads to a high level corporate/government espionage operation...
